Rebels Upset At MWC Tourney
The fourth-seeded UNLV men's tennis team wasted two crucial match points and ultimately fell to fifth-seed BYU 4-2 in Thursday's quarterfinal round at the Mountain West Conference Championships being played at the Friedman Tennis Center. [ + ] The defending Mountain West Conference champion UNLV men's tennis team is seeded fourth and will face fifth-seeded BYU to open play at next week's annual tournament, the league announced. [ + ] Playing a neutral-site Mountain West Conference matchup, the UNLV men's tennis team closed its regular-season schedule with a 4-2 upset of No. 54 San Diego State on Saturday at BYU's Indoor Tennis Courts. [ + ] Playing a neutral-site Mountain West Conference matchup, the UNLV men's tennis team built a 3-2 lead but could not close out Utah and ultimately fell 4-3 late Friday night at BYU's Indoor Tennis Courts.
