	Lady Rebels' 2008-09 Schedule Announced Under first-year head coach Kathy Olivier, the UNLV women's basketball team will play a possible 11 games against teams that played in the postseason last year, as the athletics department announced the 2008-09 Lady Rebels' schedule on Tuesday. Rising sophomore Karla Gergelova, a forward on the UNLV women's basketball team, has been named to the Czech Republic Under-20 Women's National Team, and will play with the squad in the 2008 U20 European Women's Championships, which begin on Friday in Pescarra, Italy. [ + ]

Lady Rebels Place Five On MWC All-Academic Team
UNLV placed five members of the women's basketball team on the 2008 Spring Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MWC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team.
