Four Rebels On Academic All-MWC Team
UNLV women's golf had four members named to the 2008 Spring Academic All-MWC team, including two-time selection Nicole McGirr, the league announced today. [ + ] UNLV women's golf released its 2008-09 schedule and two home tournaments highlight the slate, which includes four fall and four spring tournaments for the Rebels, the athletics department announced Wednesday. [ + ] UNLV freshman Therese Koelbaek, who turned in one of the best rookie campaigns in Rebel history, was named to Golfweek's Honorable Mention All-American team, which was released Wednesday. [ + ] The UNLV women's golf team posted its best-ever finish at the NCAA Championships on Friday, finishing 16th overall at the national tournament, which was played at the Championship Course. [ + ] Playing in less than ideal conditions for the second-straight day, the UNLV women's golf team completed its third round at the NCAA Championships despite a lightning delay on Thursday. [ + ] Battling high winds at the end of its round, the UNLV women's golf team fought through the conditions and posted a solid second-round score of 297 (+9) at the NCAA Championships on Wednesday. [ + ]
